Abstract. In the second part of the article the results of the analysis of manipulation of diamond quality characteristics and the facts of dishonest trade in diamonds on the international market are considered. It is shown that some well-known gemological laboratories are deliberately and closely connected with the fraudulent business and deceive consumers. Ukraine is no exception in this kind of business. This requires certain actions on the part of the state.
Keywords: diamond, diamond classifying, standards, diamond classification systems.
