Abstract. The up-to-date information about the types of non-nacreous pearls that are used in jewelry is systemized: Conch, Clam, Melo, Scallop, Quahog and Pen pearls. Their specific features are described, the information about pearl-producing mollusks as well as regions of their distribution are given.
